Body Scanning Technology
People’s range in height and body build is what makes us different. And since no two people are built the same, no two massages are going to be the same.
As with the Osaki OS 4000T, this chair includes body scanning. This maps the curvature of the back and self adjusts the massage rollers. The result is a more precise, customized massage, hitting all of the key areas of concern.
L-Track Roller
The back roller is a major part of every massage chair. These come in two main types, the S-track, and the L-track.
Since your spine follows an “S” curve and is not straight, the massage rollers need to follow this curvature. The ergonomically designed S-track twin rollers found in other models make it very efficient. This is because the rollers can target all areas of the back uniformly and more effectively.
Unfortunately, the S-track only extends from the neck to the base of the spine.
Unlike the Osaki OS-4000T, this model comes with an L-track roller system. The L-track rollers found on this model continue further to traverse your glutes and upper hamstrings. This gives you an additional massage in these areas that are usually not covered.
The 4 massage rollers have a 30” stroke. And for a more personal and custom massage, there are also 5 intensity and 3 width settings,
Next Generation Air Massage Technology
The Osaki OS-4000XT comes with 24 airbags. They are located in the right and left shoulders, neck, hips, arms, lower back, calves, and feet.
This technology, in conjunction with the rollers, gives you an awesome full-body massage. In addition, there are 5 speed and intensity settings.
Even though the Osaki OS-4000T came with 48 airbags, don’t let this fool you into thinking this is a downgrade. The engineering team at Osaki has optimized the smaller airbag count without losing surface area. This also results in less power usage and quieter operation.
Zero Gravity
In order to reduce the stress and tension put on the spines of astronauts during launch, NASA researched and developed Zero Gravity Position.
The Osaki OS 4000XT massage chair has 2 zero gravity positions:
- Normal mode or true zero gravity- your feet are raised to the same level as your heart.
- Enhanced or extra recline – your legs are higher than your heart level, with an increased therapeutic effect.

Heated Lumbar Pads

PROS
L-Track Rollers – The L-track roller system is a step above the S-track rollers, and with its 43″ rollers the rollers can massage from the neck all the way down to the glutes and upper hamstrings.
Bluetooth integration – When you need to relax and enhance your massage, what better way is there then to listen to some of your favorites in amazing 4D surround sound.
Ache Sensor – The accurate Ache Sensor will detect those painful areas for a more customized massage. What better way to have a massage then to have the chair determine where you need more attention.
Space Saving Technology – By allowing the chair to recline and still stay close to the wall, this feature will keep your chair from sitting out in the middle of your room.
CONS
Limited Preset Programs – With some of the new features, it would have been nice to have more than 6 auto programs
Non-Adjustable Timer – the timer is set at 15 minutes. If you wanted something less you would need to time yourself, and if you would like a longer session you would have to reset the timer.
No Body Stretch – This is a limitation of many of the L-track rollers so if this is an important feature for you it is recommended to look for another model.

There are very few massage chairs on the market that can locate the exact sources of pain in your body and customize its massage style accordingly. Osaki’s Ache sensor is defintely unique, but would this be a feature that would sell me on the chair? No, but it is a rather cool feature.
The Osaki OS-4000XT, with its abundance of features found on chairs costing more gives a great massaage at an affordable price.
The optimization of the airbags, allowing for the reduced amount of bags, makes for a quieter massage, which is nice so you can listen to some nice tunes with the bluetooth capability.
And I think you will like the addition of the space saving feature so this does not have to take up all the space in your room.
Overall, if you are looking for an affordable chair for a invigorating massage with some nice features, you won’t go wrong with the Osaki OS-4000XT.
